Dr. Purino is a specialist in conditions such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, CIDP, muscular dystrophy, neuropathy and other neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Purino is triple board-certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with special qualifications in Neuromuscular diseases. She completed a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases at UCLA where she participated in a research study for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. At Kaiser Permanente, she was the Neuromuscular specialist for all Southern California Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Purino was part the largest neurology practice in the western U.S. solely devoted to consultations and testing for disorders of the nerves and muscles. With this experience, she has performed more than 11,000 consultations and EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies. Patients will undergo full expert evaluation and treatment for their neuromuscular condition.
